Here at Runway Fashion Exchange our business thrives on YOU. You sell us your gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories which fills our store with merchandise. We are always buying inventory because our store depends on you and your awesome taste in clothing!

We have a constant cycle of buying and selling all seasons of clothing all year long. And, because styles are always changing, we have to keep up with what’s trendy and what styles our customers are always looking for.

Our stores are made up of anywhere from 70 to 90% clothing and accessories sold to us by our customers!

So, to make shopping at Runway even more fun, we fill the remaining percentage of our stores with new merchandise hand picked by your local Runway team. We LOVE our New Merchandise just as much as you do, so we keep it stocked all year long! What’s something you’ve found in our new merchandise area you love? How to Sell Your Clothing

SELLING 101

Interested in selling your trendy, gently worn clothing and accessories with Runway Fashion Exchange? Listed below are some great tips on how to do just that!

1. FIND IT AT YOUR HOUSE - Sort through your clothing. Pull out those items that you never wear, or have worn and loved, and are ready to give someone else the chance to do the same with. At Runway Fashion Exchange, we’re all about giving your clothing a second chance!

2. WASH THEM - Once you’ve selected the items you wish to sell, place them in the wash. We require all clothing items to be freshly laundered before you sell them with us.

3. BOX THEM - Place your current, trendy, and gently worn items nicely in a bag, box or laundry basket off of hangers. This make sit easier for our certified buyers to process your clothing and keep all your items together.

4. BRING IT IN! - Now, you’re ready to bring your items into the store to sell. Grab your ID and your bag(s) of clothing and head inside to our buying counter. An associate will assist you in filling out our buy form and give you a time quote for processing your items. While your items are being processed, we encourage your to stay in the store. This gives you the opportunity to see what type of items we accept at Runway and to shop for great “new to you” items.

5. GET CASH OR CREDIT - Once finished, our buyer will present you with a cash offer AND a store credit offer. The choice is then yours to decide to take the cash or spend some store credit on items you may have found while shopping in the store.

6. LIKE YOURSELF MORE - After you’ve finished your transaction, any items we may have passed on are yours to take back with you.

Spring Cleaning

Happy Spring! It’s that time of year where you clean out your gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories and turn them into CASH!  At Runway, we are always buying, and we love adding your items to our inventory! 

If you’ve never sold your items to us before, it’s simple!  Follow the step by step instructions below to turn your items into cash today!

1. Clean out your closet.  We buy all seasons all year long, so don’t be afraid to bring in your out of season items during the off season.  We buy clothing, shoes, and accessories for women and men too!

2. Freshly launder your items before bringing them in to sell.  We will turn away items with stains, pet hair, and unwanted odors, so make sure they are fresh and in ready to wear condition.

3. Pack your items in a bag, box, or laundry basket.  We prefer items off hangers and neatly placed into your preferred container. 

4. Bring your items into the store.  Our certified buyers will have you fill out a buying form and drop your items off for them to sort through.  We will then give you a time quote for the amount of time it will take us to sort through your items, enter them into our software, and generate a payout for you.

5. We encourage you to shop around while we go through your items, but understand if you need to leave and come back.  We just ask that you return to the store before our closing time on the same day as your drop off.

6. When we have finished processing your items, we will give you a cash and store credit offer for the items we would like to purchase.  Any items we do not purchase will be given back to you at checkout.  If you choose cash, we give you cash that day!  No need to wait for your items to sell before cashing out, cool right?  If you decide to shop around and use store credit, we apply the credit to your account to use as you please, AND it never expires!

Let's Talk Denim...

Many people expected denim and denim trends to fade away when leggings and athleisure became popular. We’re here to say, “no way!” Denim has been a fashion staple piece for SO MANY years and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Jeans Still In Style in 2019

Winter 2019 is here! And you know what that means :) Get on those comfy jeans you love. Jeans are still in style even though so many of your friends are in joggers and yoga pants. Nothing, nothing shows as classy and trendy as jeans. Lets face it, holes cut into your yoga pants just dont look as “Thrilleresque” as a beautifully worn pair of top quality jeans. We talked with fashion experts with our suppliers in LA and they said to watch for these trends…..

Straight Cut

Straight cut jeans are like skinny jeans, but with more breathing room. It’s nice not to have your jeans so tight that you can see the outline of your pockets and the apple symbol on the back of your phone showing through your jeans pocket. These are classy and beautiful and trendy all at the same time. Chic! They go with heels, flats, or sneakers. Blouse, crop tops, or sweaters!

Boot Cut

Boot Cut is back! Actually it never left. Sure the bling is gone and the pocket styles are a little different but lets face it. Boot Cut looks good on almost everyone. Nevermind…everyone looks great in Boot Cut. Check out the sleek but more fun look of a boot cut in this picture….

Super Stretch Low Rise Skinny

The low rise was not fun. But, with new stretch fabric the new jeans which are low cut are much much more comfortable than yesterdays. This modern take on the low cut with stretch in comfy, flexible, and forgiving. Try a pair and see that your skinny jeans dont need to go all the way up to your ribs :)
